 | Please note that effective April 29, 2013, legislative changes were introduced in the European Union (EU) with respect to the ‘Known Shipper’ program. These changes are an enhancement to air freight security, which includes a screening process for cargo in the EU. Similar to all industries, Aerospace is also affected by this change.
As a result, Bombardier’s Frankfurt Hub has applied for, and is scheduled to receive from the LBA (Luftfahrt Bundesamt), the ‘Known Shipper’ status effective September 2013.
