CRJ Series Training

CRJ Flight Training

Bombardier has partnered with CAE as our Authorized Training provider (ATP) of all CRJ/Challenger 800 Series Flight Training. CAE is a well-established, international company that has been providing flight training for customers for decades and has been Bombardier Business Aircraft ATP for many years.

Headquartered in Montreal, CAE offers CRJ Series flight training across the world, with the lead ATP training centres being in Toronto and Madrid. Other CRJ simulators are based in Charlotte, Minneapolis, Phoenix and Copenhagen.

As the CRJ fleet grows and evolves, CAE is committed to providing training solutions to support customers regionally.

Some aspects of CRJ Flight Training is available via distance learning, through Bombardier’s award-winning eLearning platform, or deliverable on-site.

CRJ Flight Attendant Training

CRJ Series Flight Attendant training is delivered through our Flight Operations department, by instructors who are current and proficient on numerous Bombardier aircraft types.

Flight Attendant training is available in Toronto or Montreal, on the operator’s actual aircraft. The Flight Attendant Training can also be delivered on-site, at the customer’s location, subject to aircraft availability.

CRJ Technical Training

Bombardier has partnered with FlightPath International (FPI) as our Authorized Technical Training provider (ATTP) of all CRJ/Challenger 800 Series Technical Training. FPI has been delivering CRJ Technical training to our customers for numerous years.

Headquartered in the Toronto area, FPI has a modern Training Centre and residence located near Toronto Pearson airport.

Some aspects of CRJ Technical Training is also available via distance learning, through Bombardier’s award-winning eLearning platform.

CRJ eLearning

Bombardier Aircraft Training (BAT) provides award-winning, world class distance learning available through our eLearning platform.

This self-paced training is available, with 24/7 technical support, anywhere a high-speed internet connection is available.

BAT provides both CRJ Flight and Technical Training courses, available as stand-alone modules or as part of various type training courses.

Both of our ATPs, CAE and FPI, utilize BAT’s eLearning platform to enhance and support the overall CRJ training.

Aircraft Upset Prevention and Recovery Training

Based upon ICAO document 10011, Bombardier has collaborated with Airbus, ATR, Boeing, Embraer and ICAO to create Revision 03 of the Airplane Upset Prevention and Recovery Training Aid (AUPRTA). This revision is expanded to include transport category straight wing propeller airplanes and regional jet airplanes.

With this document, it is Bombardier’s intent to emphasize that training within the entire operational flight envelope (as per AFM) is needed to develop pilots' awareness and handling skills, both in manual and automated flight. Academic training and the recommended FSTD exercises (within the capabilities of existing simulation devices) to expose the pilots to the airplane's handling characteristics and performance envelope will add significant benefits to managing undesired airplane states and preventing upsets.

The Airplane Upset Prevention and Recovery Training Aid is made available to the public on the ICAO website and can be accessed through the following link:
